Pan Fry

When pan frying, it’s preferable to use a non-stick pan, with enough oil to thinly coat the base. Cook from thawed on a medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes, from frozen for 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally until slightly golden and crisp.

DIRECTIONS

  • Heat a nonstick pan on medium high heat for 1 minute, then reduce to medium and add 1.5 to 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  • Add 6-9 pieces of frozen Daring product.
  • Cook for 4 to 5 minutes from thawed, 6 to 8 minutes from frozen, flipping halfway through and heat to internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Skillet

Original Pieces cook beautifully in a sauté pan on your line. If adding vegetables, rice, or potatoes, you can incorporate them just as you would traditional chicken and cook together. Then season and finish with a sauce right on your line in the skillet.

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat sauté pan on medium high heat, add vegetable oil (1.5 to 2 tablespoons per 8oz on non-stick pans; 2 to 3 tablespoons per 8oz on stainless or aluminum pans), and place Daring Pieces into pan.
  • Cook for 4 to 5 minutes from thawed or 6 to 8 minutes from frozen stirring frequently until Pieces golden brown and heat to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Oven (Baked or Roasted)

This method works best with a coating of cooking oil sprayed onto the Daring Pieces to aid in browning. You may also add seasonings or sauces.

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
  • Place Daring Pieces onto a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and lightly spray with oil.

  • 3. Cook for 10 to 14 minutes, turning halfway, until the product browns and heats to an internal temperature of 165ºF (74ºC) (time may vary depending on your oven size).

FLAT TOP GRIDDLE

Original Pieces cook exceptionally well on a griddle. We recommend seasoning as you cook and finishing with sauces or glazes during the last minute of cooking as you would with any protein. The key is to keep the product moving to prevent it from sticking to the griddle.

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat your griddle to 400ºF (205ºC), add at least 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (enough to coat Daring Pieces during cooking).
  • Place Daring Pieces onto griddle and cook, turning frequently with a spatula, until golden brown and heated throughout.
  • From thawed – cook for 4 to 7 minutes until the product browns and heats to an internal temperature of 165ºF (74ºC).
  • From frozen – cook for 5 to 8 minutes until the product browns and heats to an internal temperature of 165ºF (74ºC).
